Welcome to my office!

It is with great pleasure to introduce myself to you as a proud Dean of Student Discipline. I began my career as an Educator in 1994, here at Garfield High School. I was a Teacher's Assistant, a Substitute Teacher, and I taught Special Education before becoming a Dean. In addition to being one of two Deans, I continue to work with the Special Education department and I am a member of the Crisis Team. My main priority is student safety, positive behavior support, and teacher support.

 

Before I became an Educator, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree through the highly recommended Whittier Scholars Program (WSP) at Whittier College. The WSP allowed me to design my own education plan, a plan where I combined various components of Communications, Education, Social Work, Comparative Cultures, and Anthology. After achieving my degree, I attended National University and obtained my teacher credential and my Master of Science degree in Special Education.
