I have been teaching at Garfield for the past 9 years. I teach English Language Arts in all grades, 9th through 12th. I specialize in reading and writing intervention. I attended California State University, Northridge (CSUN) for the majority of my undergrad but received my Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Credential from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). I am a product of the Public School System, L.A.U.S.D, as are many of my students. As an English teacher in East Los Angeles, I see many students that remind me of myself---humble beginnings and a great work ethic. I am proud to serve students of this community and provide them a safe and engaging experience here at Garfield.
