Welcome to Garfield High School! Transition into secondary school can sometimes be very challenging for both parent and student! Here are some common concerns:
Common Parent Concerns:
- How can I make sure my child is successful at GHS?
- What tools does GHS have for parents?
- Is my child safe at school?
- How do I support education at home?
- How can I communicate more effectively with my teen?
- Will my child be able to go to college?
Common Student Concerns:
- Will I get lost?
- Am I taking the right courses?
- What if I can't make friends?
- Will I be able to understand my assignments?
- Do I have to carry around all my books?
- How can I get my parent to trust that I am doing the right thing?
The Garfield High School family wants to make sure you have the tools that will be able to help make sure you are successful during your educational journey. I am here to support you and your family during this transition.
