Welcome to my webpage.  My name is Ricardo Rivas.  This is my 18th year as a social studies teacher at Garfield High School.  I was born and raised in East Los Angeles.  I attended Fourth Street Elementary School, Griffith Junior High School and Garfield High School.  I transferred to UCLA from Rio Hondo Community College and received my teaching credential from Whittier College.  It is truly an honor to be teaching in the neighborhood that I was raised in.
