Estimados padres de familia y tutores: 

Les extiendo una cordial invitación a la junta de padres.   Si usted no puede asistir a la junta, por favor déjemelo saber, envíe un mensaje con su hijo/a, para tener una junta, cuando le sea más conveniente, si así lo desea, para que usted sepa lo que están aprendiendo los alumnos. Si tiene preguntas puede comunicarse conmigo al tel. 323 981- 5500 o programar una junta individual.

Bio
I have been an educator for over 30 years at Garfield High School. I was born in Los Angeles, California, but raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. I attended Cal State, Los Angeles where I earned a bachelors degree in Spanish and I have the equivalency of a master's degree in linguistics from the CalState LA.  I have three sons, two have graduated from this institution and were part of the SAS program.  Adrián graduated from UCSB in 2019, and Ángel is currently, attending UCSD.  If you are interested on learning about these universities you may contact me at anytime.   
 
Throughout my years here at Garfield High School I have been a part and currently affiliated of various clubs and programs. Some of these include:
  • CAPA teacher (currently active)
  • CAPA club co-sponsor from 2011-2016
  • Spanish Club co sponsor 2011-2016
  • School for Advance Studies (active)
 
It is thanks to these various programs that I have had made many memories and have been a part of various school projects with our Garfield students.
