Jacqui Heiland, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from a variety of illnesses. She was 85 years old.
Jacqui was an English teacher, a Social Studies teacher and the Speech and Debate Coach for many years during her 48-year teaching career at Garfield. In addition, she met her husband, Ralph Heiland, at Garfield and they remained Bulldogs until Ralph died in 1989 and Jacqui retired in 2004.
On Thursday, February 15th, those who would like to share their memories and stories of Jacqui are invited to come to:

From 3:30 pm on (you can come earlier) and visit with her son, David, and his wife Ofelia, and daughter, Carla. All three are LAUSD teachers.
