31st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

“Our Work Is Not Yet Done”

The
Garfield High School Army JROTC once again participated in the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Kingdom Day Parade

The members were able to celebrate the legacy of a great man who fought for justice and equality.

The Los Angeles Kingdom Day Parade is the largest celebration of Dr. King’s birthday in the country.  The parade was televised and broadcast by local radio and televisions stations in California, as well as, across the country.

Again, the "Bulldawg" members are proud and honored each year to be a part of the celebration to help commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday.  Garfield High School was well represented by the JROTC’s Elite Color Guard as the Lead color guard for the parade, marching unit, and Armed and Unarmed Drill teams

Many thanks to our school administration who continue to support all programs, as Garfield High School continues to lead the way in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
