Year 1945
Memoir Graduating from Stevenson Jr. High....going to entroll at James A. Garfield High School. Had choices of Roosevelt and Huntington Park as well.
Was most familiar with East Los Angeles....namely Belvedere/Montebello area. My first day on campus...1946...seeing old classmates and lots of new faces...impressed...beautiful campus and buildings surrounded by neat homes with neat lawns and flowers.
I stayed to graduate in 1948. Guess there are not too many of my friends and probably not any of the wonder teachers and staff of those days.
SO...ANYONE OUT THERE? READING THIS? GIVE US A SHOUT11111 Remember me? Dona Jean Hill? I remember, Bobbie Ruth White, Duane Ostrom, Fritz Heyser, Genie Beadles, Elaine Plount, and Dale Gertzen and Pop Heisig from the Business Office and so many more. I hope to hear from someone soon.
