Memoir
I remember when our Band Director, Mr. Manyweather first came to Garfield. I was in Marching Band and I played Tenor Drum. Me and my fellow band member/friends laughed when he tried to teach us to march and dance to the Birth of the Blues. After I graduated and attended the Garfield vs. Roosevelt games, I saw how great Mr. Manyweather had made the Marching Band. I was both jealous that I had not listened to Mr. Manyweather's direction, but proud that GHS finally had an EXCELLENT marching band!
