Who I am

Year 1989-1993
Memoir Garfield was the foundation of who I am. I played Football for Coach Robinson. I attended classes taught by Mr Bennett, Mr Combe, and many other great teachers that I fail to mention. I made some of the best friends that a man can have. I found the Love of my life, that I would later marry. I received an education that will long outlast my youth.
While at GHS I learned traits that have served me well as an adult. Take care of your people. Back each other up. Do your best, Its all you can do. Don't let each other down. Don't give up.
I have gone on to serve this great country. I have visited lands like Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Italy, El Salvador, Djibouti, Iraq, Germany teaching one important lesson, we truly live in the greatest country in the world.
Garfield was the catalyst for all of my opportunities. Take advantage of all that GHS has to offer. You may not get another chance.

To the community of East LA, the faculty, the students past and present, my classmates of 1993, Thank You. You are the reason for who I am. You are the reason for my success.

As Coach Robinson use to say, "When you go off and make something of yourself, come back and help one kid from East LA"

Never forget.
