Course Description
The competency-based course is the first in a sequence of two designed for graphic design. It provides technical instruction & practical experience in a workplace safety, basic principles & techniques of graphic design, print & web typography, color theory & management, elements of illustration, logo design, branding, conceptualization of images through sketching, digital imaging software & their applications, basic word processing & spreadsheet, resource management & employability skills. The competencies in this course are aligned with the California High School Academic Content Standards and the California Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.
